It’s an inexpensive product at $17.30 per 50 ml.  When you find an organic night anti-aging cream review for a product that is truly effective, you will see that the price is about twice this amount.  I sometimes wonder how the manufacturers determine the ingredients they put in a skin care product.

 

This product contains organic “marshmallow”.  I assume they actually mean “marsh mallow”.  While the plant has been used historically to treat a variety of conditions, to date, there are no scientific evaluations supporting its use.

Priced at $34.79, it is described as “beauty sleep in a jar”.  It does contain jojoba, which I like, but the other ingredients; sesame, chamomile and orange oil, can be irritating.  Instead of honey, they use beeswax, which serves no real purpose.

At $12.98 per bottle, there has to be something wrong with this product.  It contains a lot of safe and natural ingredients including apricot, hibiscus, rosehip, aloe, olive oil, sunflower oil, blackberry, blueberry raspberry and vitamin C.  It’s 83.3% organic, whatever that means.

But, I would have to give it a “thumbs down” in this organic night anti-aging cream review, simply because there is nothing that has proven effectiveness to fade wrinkles or fine lines.

The Best Organic Night Cream  Reviewed

At $37 per bottle, the price is reasonable and the ingredients are effective.  It contains a newer compound called Functional Keratin.  It is extracted from sheep's wool. For those who really want to look younger, you can rely on this product.

But, the company uses more than just one effective ingredient.  It also includes avocado and Shea butter for deep moisturizing while you sleep.  You won't ever use any other skin care line once you try this particular organic night cream.  I know this simply because, unlike all the others I tried, this one really works.

Even though it is advertised as a “natural” anti-aging skin cream (it even has a picture of a leaf on the box, to suggest how close to nature it is), the primary ingredient is a synthetic protein peptide that is simply based on natural proteins.

There are natural protein peptides, such as Functional Keratin and the best anti-aging skin creams include them, but not because they paralyze the muscles. There is no way for us to know if that is a safe idea for our long term health.

The natural protein peptides support the body’s ability to repair damage. Functional Keratin, for example, has been shown to increase skin-cell proliferation and increase production of collagen and elastin.

It is the loss of collagen and elastin that causes skin to sag. When we increase the firmness, we smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. But, the Botox alternative was not the biggest problem that I found with the “other” anti-aging skin cream.

The biggest problem was that it contained three ingredients that when combined can produce benzene, a known carcinogen. Benzene can definitely be absorbed through the skin’s pores and enter the blood stream.

A lot is known about the chemical because it was an element in many work-related illnesses. The best anti-aging skin creams do not contain chemical compounds like these. There is simply no reason for it.

Nature has provided us with everything that we need for healthier and younger looking faces. Take kelp, for example.

An anti-aging skin cream that contains an extract from wakame kelp increases the level of proteins in the epidermis by inhibiting an enzymatic process that breaks them down. Clinical research has shown that it increases skin’s elasticity, reduces dark circles under the eyes and fades wrinkles by improving smoothness and tone.

I know that I for one am not going to slather myself up with anything that hasn’t been proven to be safe.  The celebrity spokesperson can prattle on all day about what this product can do, but I’m not buying into the “best anti-aging skin creams” pitch unless you can show me something to back it up.

Of course I’m the kind of person who would never purchase something like that from television or an ad in a magazine anyway.  I want to hold it, I want to look it over, but mostly I just want to be able to see what it actually says on the label. 

What you’ll probably discover upon looking at the label is that the anti-aging skin cream that you’re holding in your hand isn’t nearly as pure and organic as you were led to believe.  You’ll most likely find in it the very cost cutting chemicals and additive that most cosmetics companies use in order to save enough money to pay for said ads, and ensure that the company Christmas party is in Vegas again this year.

It’s not ‘technically’ as though the company purposely tried to dupe you into believing that their “best anti-aging skin creams” were purely organic.  The sad fact is that the companies are not really required by law to tell you anything at all about what goes into their products.  They pretty much have free reign to tell you anything that they want.

This is because the governing bodies who are supposed to hold the makers of these products accountable don’t enforce the few regulations that are imposed on cosmetics companies.  They are allowed to put collagen into their products even though it is a known high risk allergen.  If you go to get collagen injections you must first take a battery of tests, but apparently you can slap it into some anti-aging skin cream and nobody cares.

When trying to find the best anti-aging skin creams for you, just be careful.

Cosmetic Anti Aging Treatments

There are now many options when it comes to cosmetic anti aging treatments. Cosmetic anti aging treatments could be surgical or natural. Skin resurfacing peels are surgical treatments that include chemical and laser peels. Non-surgical treatments now include microdermabrasion and herbal skin remedies.

Laser Peel Procedure:

The laser used in laser peel treatments is carbon dioxide. This laser eliminates wrinkled or damaged skin one layer at a time. The results are minimized lines, scars and discoloration. This procedure is good especially for removing wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. Laser peel treatment can be done on the face as well as other parts of the body.

On the other hand, the laser peel treatment is not always the best for everyone, even though it is a fairly accurate treatment. Those with brown, black or olive skin have a higher possibility of skin discoloration after treatment. Worse case scenarios include bleeding and bruising.

Chemical Peel Treatment:

Chemical peel treatments are often used to eliminate wrinkles, skin discoloration and blemishes. The procedure works by chemically stripping the outer layers of the skin to give skin a nice glossy finish.

The procedure utilizes either Alphahydroxy acid or Phenol. Alphahydroxy acid derives from fruits and is known to be kinder on the skin. On the other hand, Phenol is a more abrasive chemical, but also because it is used to treat worse skin damage and deeper wrinkles. There is a possibility of scarring on the neck and body after the procedure.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is another peeling procedure but is less harsh than chemical ones and can be performed at a clinic, spa or even at home. There are now microdermabrasion kits sold over the counter. During the procedure, the outer layer of the skin is peeled by exfoliation. The method clears pores and improves skin cell turnover. This method is therefore good for those who have acne problems and scars caused by acne.

One may apply crystals or crystal-free treatment on the skin. A microdermabrasion procedure can be rather abrasive, depending on the hardness, abrasiveness and type of crystals used. For example, sensitive skin can react negatively towards aluminum-oxide crystals. Thus, there is always some risk, as with most kinds of treatments. An individual undergoing microdermabrasion treatment may need to be treated every other week or every 6 weeks if he/she would like to maintain youthful skin.

Organic Skin Care

If you are looking for a more affordable alternative, get into an organic skin care treatment. The natural ingredients in organic skin care can get rid of sun damage as well as wrinkles. Essential oils, body butter and carrier oils are just some of the natural remedies found in an organic skin care treatment.
